Someone asked me once about how do you work from Premiere to After Effects and my first answer was “how DON’T you” because I sensed some incredulity in their tweet and felt snark was their due. But it brought up a good point that there were many many ways to work between the two programs. Here are some basic ways that you can do that. What you do with that info to form your own workflow is your own business. But the big thing is that you don’t need to lock in to only one way of doing things. There will be many solutions for many problems and there is no one correct answer.
