Isometric Projections! Make some in After Effects. You COULD extrude some things in 3d and get close to this look. But we’re doing it for real! Real Isometric Projections! The least real kind of 3d drawing! We use the tried and true SSR method. That’s scale, skew and rotate!

Animate on an angled logo with shape layers in after effects. We use shape layers to build up the typography of a logo very similar (totally ripped off of) to the very stylish and hip AJ+ logo. Give it a try with your own initials!

Put thing in a scene, like IN the scene. As in behind things that you already filmed. It’s quite simple and the computer does most of the work so we’ll make it go. The process is just 3 little steps. Track. Place. Cover. Once you get this you can put anything into any shot really.

Make liquid blobs fly around the frame. I’m sure you’ve seen this before and if you’ve tried particle systems, and just plain drawing it, then you need this lovely solution that uses other paths as guides but still tricks the computer into doing most of the work for you. It’s great.

Fancy banners for fancy events. Weddings, Bar-mitzvahs, Quinceaneras, really anything you might hire someone to videograph instead of “film”. Or if you are a wedding videographer maybe you can throw these into the mix, I don’t know. Do what you feel.
